The organization HELP is starting a new project – "Poverty reduction through local sustainable development and support to the educational system in the Sandzak area" - at the 01st of October 2010. The project is financed by the German Government through the Stability Pact for south eastern Europe and the municipalities of Prijepolje , Sjenica and the City of Novi Pazar. Within the project of 160.000,00 EUR, 75 agricultural businesses will be supported. Furthermore, the heating system in the Primary School "Desanka Maksimovic" will be repaired to ensure the operation of the school during the winter season.

HELP – Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe e.V. is celebrating its fifteenth anniversary in Bosnia and Herzegovina. “Working together we create a future”. Over fifteen years 43 million Euros were implemented in emergency relief, humanitarian demining, reconstruction programming and socio-economic development.
“Till today, the German government has committed around one billion Euros to Bosnia and Herzegovina, focusing mainly on the fields of economic reform and development of a market economy, infrastructure and the stabilization of democracy”, said the German Ambassador, his Excellency Joachim Schmidt.
The European Commission delegate Johann Hesse proudly announced a further investment of 400.000 Euro (782.332 KM), toward a socio economic development program implemented by HELP: “We will continue to invest in the stability of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as an emerging South Eastern Europe nation.”
Karin Settele, Managing Director of HELP – Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe e.V. thanked all of the international donors for their trust and commitment throughout the years: “Without being able to rely on our donors, this achievement would not have been possible. HELP will remain committed to the people of Bosnia and Herzegovina. By assisting small business owners, we foster entrepreneurship, reduce unemployment and contribute to reconciliation.”
HELP is proud to announce its first trade fair in Bosnia and Herzegovina at the Trg oslobođenja Park in Sarajevo.
