Our stand will be placed in Hall 2 within the section of the Serbian Agency for the Development of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises and Entrepreneurship

Pirot, Vranje capacity building
At the beginning of November 2006, HELP within the project „Support to Local Sustainable Development through Business Incubation” has started the implementation of the project component municipal capacity building in municipalities of Vranje, Pirot and Leskovac. In the municipality of Pirot, HELP delivered the workshops for the municipal officers aiming to introduce funding possibilities through EU funds for municipal projects, application procedures and projects’ implementation emphasizing the possibilities offered by the Neighbourhood programme Bulgaria – Serbia for the development projects in the municipalities of the South Serbia. Apart from the HELP team, the lecturers were the consultants of the Ministry of International Economic Relations of RS, Mr. Vladimir Pandurov and Mr. Milan Marjanovic, who presented the Neighbourhood Programme Bulgaria – Serbia and announced new calls for proposals within the Neighbourhood Programme financed by CARDS; methods of and support to searching partner municipalities, funding opportunities for infrastructure projects, as well as the cross-border cooperation component within IPA instrument. IPA and PCM also were the topics presented during the training, while in the practical part the participants worked on the log frame and budget for the proposed project.

Workshops for municipal officers in Pirot
The municipal officers in Vranje opted for the English language course to improve their communication with the international business partners and potential donors. In Vranje, the training in cooperation with the adult education centre - Radnicki univerzitet is in progress.
It can be soon expected that HELP team is going to organize trainings for the municipal officers in Leskovac, considering interest shown in acquiring new and improvement of the existing knowledge and skills.

The documentary “Chance for Better Future” in joint production of HELP and Magma film is completed. The documentary presents major results of HELP programs through various life stories of clients, who thanks to HELP, realized their business ideas and significantly improved their living standard. Filming locations were municipalities where HELP has been active such as Sremska Mitrovica, Kikinda, Kragujevac, Aleksinac, Niš and Mokra Gora.
